AWX Collection Version Warning During Job Run
Introduction
When importing jobs or running playbooks in Ascender, users may encounter a warning message indicating a version mismatch between the AWX Galaxy Collection and the Ascender version.
Problem
During job operations in Ascender, the following warning message is displayed:
[WARNING]: You are running collection version 24.6.1 but connecting to AWX version 25.2.0.
This warning appears when the awx.awx Galaxy collection version is lower than the Ascender application version.
Resolution
This warning message can be safely ignored and does not require any action. The warning indicates that the awx.awx Galaxy collection is pinned to a specific version (in this example, 24.6.1), while the Ascender application itself is running a newer version (in this example, 25.2.0). 24.6.1 is the latest release available for the awx.awx galaxy collection.
No action is required. The job import and execution will proceed normally despite this warning. The warning is informational only and does not indicate an error or compatibility issue.
